"Bought this as an anniversary gift and joined her for both classes. Studio is clean, Noe is warm, and we left knowing a real Foxtrot basic. Highly recommend as a couple's activity."
"The Ballroom Experience felt luxurious without being intimidating. Noe adjusts difficulty on the fly. My mom (65) and I both had a blast."
Most beginners start with Waltz because the 1-2-3 timing is intuitive and it works for almost any slow wedding song. Foxtrot is the second most useful — it's the classic 'cocktail party' dance. Tango is dramatic and great for performance, but a bit more advanced for first-timers.
Yes — that's exactly why most clients book it. You'll learn frame, posture, and basic Waltz/Foxtrot patterns that work to live big-band or string ensembles you'd hear at galas, charity balls, and country club events.
American style allows open positions and underarm turns — easier and more social. International style stays in closed frame and is used in competition. We teach American style in the experience because it's far more practical for social and wedding dancing.
Not for your first session. Smooth-soled dress shoes (loafers, character shoes, low heels) work fine on our floor. Avoid rubber soles, sneakers, and flip-flops — they grip too much and can hurt your knees on turns.
Your $117 gets you 2 private one-hour classes — an effective rate of $58.50 per class, well below the $100–$140 most San Diego studios charge for a single private lesson. In exchange for the discounted rate, we ask for one honest review during the program and one after. Your feedback is what keeps this pricing sustainable.
Yes — both classes must be completed within 5 days of your first session. Same-week scheduling is what makes the lower price work and it's also what produces the fastest progress. Text Noe a few times that work for you and we'll lock in both sessions together.
Not at all! Experiences are designed for absolute beginners. We'll start from the very basics and build your confidence step by step across both classes.
Comfortable clothing you can move in and smooth-soled shoes. Avoid flip-flops, heels higher than 2 inches, or sticky rubber soles.
Yes! Experiences make wonderful gifts. Just mention in the notes that it's a gift and we'll provide a gift certificate you can present beautifully.
Life happens! We offer flexible rescheduling with at least 24 hours notice — keep in mind that both classes still need to land within 5 days of session 1 to honor the bundle pricing.
